After defeating Council Bluffs Lincoln in their first-round playoff match Thursday night, Norwalk’s boys’ soccer squad will look to extend their season against Urbandale Monday.

The Warriors defeated the Lynx Thursday in a 6-0 shutout, their sixth win in their last seven matches. Norwalk will be entering familiar territory taking on Urbandale Monday. The two teams met in the first round of the playoffs last season, with Norwalk leading the match for over 60 minutes. However, Urbandale tied the match with under a minute remaining, and ultimately won in a shootout. The Warriors will be looking to right the ship against the J-Hawks after suffering their first loss to Urbandale in the Varsity Bound era last season. If Norwalk wins, they will play the winner of Des Moines East-Valley Wednesday night.

The match at Urbandale High School gets underway Monday at 6:30 PM.
