The Knoxville Police Department will hold their Helmets and Hotdogs Thursday, May 26 from 11:30 am-1:00 pm in the covered city parking lot across from the Knoxville Police Department 305 S 3rd Street. Knoxville Police Officer Kyle Keller spoke with KNIA/KRLS News about the event.

“This is our seventh year doing Helmets and Hotdogs and it is a way for us to get helmets to kids who don’t have helmets and we also decided we might as well feed the kids and have activities as well so that everyone can have fun.”

The event is geared toward kids from Pre-K through Fifth Grade. In case of rain the event will be held indoors at Memorial Hall at 320 E. Robinson Street.
