The Twin Cedars Softball Squad has a goal of winning the Bluegrass Conference title for a 3rd straight season. The Sabers first step to that achievement will be against the Sabers biggest rival Melcher-Dallas tonight. Coach Zack Dunkin tells KNIA/KRLS Sports his pitching staff will be key to his team’s success not only in the conference but every game as he has a deep and veteran staff.

Dunkin: “Grace has been throwing for 5 years and Ali hasn’t been throwing as long but she’s really developed over the years, they don’t walk anyone and they have good movement on all their pitches”

Grace Bailey got most of the starts last year going 20-8 with 156 strikeouts against just 22 walks. Her pitching mate is Ali Mockenhaupt, who was 8-3 last season with 67 strikeouts against five walks. Dunkin adds he may split their time a little more even this season.
