The County Roads department is currently in its spring and summer project season. Marion County Engineer Tyler Christian spoke with KNIA/KRLS News about the start of the season. 

“It started out a little rough. The frost was coming out of the ground and we experienced some rain, which is a worst-case scenario, but it didn’t last long. Once the frost came out and the rain stopped, the roads firmed up quickly. Overall, projects are a little slow getting started due to cooler weather and contractor availability. With this contractor issue, some of our projects will start a little later than we anticipated.
