The Norwalk baseball team evened its record at 4-4 overall on Friday night with an impressive 7-1 non-conference win at Gilbert.
The Warriors opened the game in solid fashion by scoring three runs in the top of the first inning and later posted a four-spot in the fourth. Gilbert, which dropped to 3-2 on the season, scored its lone run in the bottom of the sixth.
The Warriors will return to action Tuesday night when they host Ballard in a varsity doubleheader at the NHS Baseball/Softball Complex. Norwalk will play another varsity doubleheader Wednesday at Pella. Both twin bills are scheduled to start at 5:30 p.m.
