The Knoxville Senior Center received a $5,000 donation from the Weiler Foundation on Monday. Knoxville Senior Center Board Secretary Kay Bauer spoke with KNIA/KRLS News about the donation and what it would be used for.

“We have a lot of equipment that is old and we went independent in March of 2019, so we depend on donations, contributions, and grants. With our equipment as old as it is, we are starting to see it break down, so this donation will be used to replace needed equipment.”

The Knoxville Senior Center is located on East Montgomery Street in the basement of City Hall.  The center is open from 8:00 am-1:00 pm Monday-Thursday with meals served at 11:30 am.
