After taking a tough loss to Wayne in their season opener, the Twin Cedars Softball Squad has feasted on Bluegrass Conference opponents to close out last week’s action by a combined 29-3 score. One thing that the Sabers have this season is depth at the plate. Coach Zack Dunkin tells KNIA/KRLS Sports, he has more girls who can hit than he can put in the starting lineup which is a good problem to have.
Dunkin: “I have an issue of just knowing who to hit. I have 10-11 kids that can hit, and I’m trying to figure out who I can put in. It’s great to have that many because I can put someone in who is hitting well for someone that’s struggling on a given night.”
The Sabers get back at it Tuesday with a home game against Moravia, Wednesday they host Moulton-Udell, travel to Seymour on Thursday, back home to play Mormon Trail on Friday and host their own triangular on Saturday.
