The Knoxville Public Library will start its Summer Reading Program today. Knoxville Public Youth Services Librarian Holly Shelford spoke with KNIA/KRLS News about the program.

“So this year the theme is Read Beyond The Beaten Path, as everything is themed around camping and outdoor adventures. The program starts June 1 and all the reading logs went home to our students in our districts last week, but if they did not get a reading log they can get one here at the library or on our website. The goal of the program is to get the kids to read 20 minutes a day for 30 days. The kids will log their reading and turn in their reading logs and win prizes.”
