After having some extended time off, the Knoxville Softball Squad will get back to the field tonight with a varsity double header against Washington. The Panthers started off the season last week 2-0 defeating Oskaloosa and Newton by a combined 19-5 count. The Panthers will host a Demons squad out of the Southeast Conference that went 20-17 last year. Coach Carla Smith tells KNIA/KRLS Sports no matter the opponent, she wants her team to be ready and not have a let down.
Smith: “It just comes back to taking each opponent day-by-day and taking the angle we want and making improvements during that game to get the result we want.”
Tonight’s twin bill starts at 5:30. Listen for the nightcap on 95.3 KNIA starting at around 7:30.
