The Knoxville Police Department will hold a free kids fishing day Saturday, June 4 from 8:00 am-12:00 pm at Marion County Park. Knoxville Police Chief Aaron Fuller spoke with KNIA/KRLS News about the event.
“We will be having a free kids fishing day for school-aged kids, which is a great event. The event is put on by Detective Robinson, the DNR, and Marion County Conservation. Pretty much everyone that shows up receives a door prize like a tackle box, fishing pole, or other prizes and it is just great fun for the kids.”
This event is a part of the Free Fishing weekend in Iowa where anyone can fish this weekend even if you do not have a fishing license.
