The Marion County Historical Society is holding their Pioneer Days today and Saturday at the Marion County Historical Village at Marion County Park. On Saturday, the Marion County Historical Society will hold its Hall Of Fame Induction ceremony. Marion County Historical Society President Craig Agan spoke with KNIA/KRLS News about the ceremony.

“This is our third induction and we are really proud to induct the folks that really started The Marion County Historical Society, they were instrumental in bringing in all of those beautiful buildings that we like to share with everyone out at the county park. This year we are going to honor Charles and Elizabeth Barnes, Cleo and Maxine Bennett, Helen Boertje, C.B. Campbell, and Kathleen and Phil Smith. The ceremony will begin at 2:30 pm at the Valley Chapel.”
