The Knoxville VFW will host Fight Night Saturday, July 2 from 4:00 pm-12:00 am at the Knoxville National Guard Armory 105 N. Lincoln Street. State VFW Commander Michael Braman spoke with KNIA/KRLS News about the event.

This is a VFW event with the post here in Knoxville. We have partnered with a couple of other nonprofit organizations. One is DownRange Excursions, they provide mental health and healthy exercise activities for veterans with PTSD. The next organization is the Combat Veterans Motorcycle Association and CVMA. We have all come together through UFC Fight Night, it’s not going to be an actual Fight Night but we will have the Pay Per View on several screens.

Braman spoke about the two special guests for the event.

We have two special guests. The first is UFC Hall of Fame fighter Pat Miletich, and the big news is we are getting the retired SEAC Sergeant Major John Wayne Troxell who is also the National VFW Brand Ambassador.”

All proceeds for the event go to DownRange Excursions, VFW Post 3519, and CVMA.
