One day after Brent Marks took a trophy home for the Pennsylvania Posse, Brian Brown stole a victory from the World of Outlaws for Team Knoxville in the second night of the Brownell’s Big Guns Bash at the Knoxville Raceway heard live on KNIA. Brad Sweet started on the pole and led the first 14 laps before Brown got around him. Faced with the same scenario as Friday when Brown was racing Marks and did not get the win, he came through when the opportunity presented itself again.
Brown: “Exact same situation and I got turned and that’s probably what won me the race because I needed to be in 2nd. I’m not looking too far ahead to August, but I have a good car and a good motor and I’m just excited.”
Sweet had to settle for 2nd while Spencer Bayston took 3rd place. Clint Garner outran everyone in the 360s to win the feature race. Sprint cars take a couple of weeks off as NASCAR will bring the Camping World Truck Series to the Knoxville Raceway next week with the Clean Harbors 150.
