Vermeer Charitable Foundation is celebrating 40 years of investing in education opportunities through their 46 sons and daughters of Vermeer employees. Each recipient was awarded a $2,000 scholarship to be used in the 2022-2023 school year.

“We have a long history of supporting educational and educational causes. To see these scholarship recipients and the next generation of leaders through their career paths or their academic endeavors has been really gratifying,” said VCF Executive Director Tricia Vermeer. “The Vermeer Charitable Foundation looks forward to a long and healthy future where we can give scholarships to many generations to come.”

Vermeer Charitable Foundation has awarded 1,118 scholarships to 534 different students since the scholarship portion of the foundation began in 1983. Scholarships are awarded to applicants most deserving in academics, service, involvement and character.

Former VCF scholarship recipient Brian DeMoss was awarded the scholarship four times while he studied pre-law/political science at Buena Vista University. He now works as the district manager for the Social Security Administration.

“I was truly honored to receive the VCF scholarship once, let alone four times,” said DeMoss. “My father worked at Vermeer for 43 years. He took pride in his dedication to working at Vermeer, and I really took note of that. I want to thank Vermeer for being the corporation they are in providing quality jobs for so many employees, but also for truly caring for their employees and making impactful investments for their families.”
