In the rubber match between the Dutch and Warriors, it was Pella hanging on in a close seven-inning baseball game 4-2 to win the season series between the schools, as heard live on 92.1 KRLS Friday.

Pella got the early jump with a two-out, two-run single by Cole Hillman in the opening inning, only for the Warriors to get a hit-by-pitch home one pitch after it happened with a Keefer Saddoris double in the bottom of the 1st.

Isaiah Kettler brought home Jack Howard with his second double of the evening, and Norwalk added a run on a stolen base by CJ Davis and Pella throwing error trying to track him down. Both teams would stalemate from the bottom of the 3rd through the end of the 6th inning, with Norwalk leaving two runners in scoring position on base twice in the 5th and 6th. A Quinn Rhamy sac fly RBI followed a bloop double by Kettler and throwing error that sent him to 3rd base.

Keegan Hansen navigated five free passes given on walks and hit batters by striking out eight over seven innings, giving up one earned run. The Dutch improve to 12-9 overall and 5-7 against Little Hawkeye Conference competition and travel to Newton Monday night for a doubleheader, while Norwalk falls to 14-10 and 6-7 in the conference and next play at Oskaloosa for a twin bill.
