Communities in the area are set to celebrate independence day. Thrive Knoxville has several activities in different locations and fireworks are scheduled for Monday, July 4 starting at 7:45 a.m. Among the scheduled activities in Knoxville include:

Pancake Breakfast 8-10 a.m. at the Knoxville Fire Station
Yoga on the Lawn 9:00 a.m.

Mini golf, inflatables, and Petting Zoo 9:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m.
Craft and Vendor Fair 9:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m.
Kids Bike Parade starts at Knoxville Public Library at 9:30 a.m.
Live Music 10:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m.
Best Burger Contest at Peace Tree 11:00 a.m.
The day will conclude with fireworks at dusk at the Knoxville Airport.
The city of Bussey is celebrating Independence Day on Sunday, July 3, and Monday, July 4. On July 3, the Bussey Fire Department will hold a supper starting at 4:30 p.m. and the Jackson Street addition stage will be from 5:00 p.m.to 8:00 p.m. On Monday, July 4, the Bussey Methodist Church will hold a breakfast from 7:00 a.m.to 9:00 a.m. The parade will begin at 10:00 a.m. with food stands and carnival rides beginning at 11:00 a.m. A kids’ tractor pull will begin at 3:30 p.m., the crowning of the Bussey Prince and Princess will be at 6:00 p.m. and fireworks will begin at 10:00 p.m.
The KNIA/KRLS Big Red Radio and Lil’ Big Red Radio are participating in area 4th of July parades, with non-stop patriotic music magazines returning on the Independence Day weekend and holiday for fireworks celebrations.
