The Indianola softball and baseball teams host Grinnell tonight in a Little Hawkeye Conference single contest. The Indians baseball squad gave the #2 in class 3A Tigers one of their only two conference losses this season on the road, and will now look to keep their slim hopes for a Little Hawkeye Conference title alive, being two games back with seven games left to play.
The Indians softball team swept the Tigers in their first matchup 8-3 and 14-9, and are averaging 10 runs scored over their last five contests. Head coach Stacy Evans tells KNIA Sports the Indians are still trying to continue to do the little things game in and game out and be more consistent on the defensive side of the game.
Indianola softball starts at 7:15, with baseball set to begin at 7:30pm.
