Dixie Gebhardt House

The Knoxville City Council approved a resolution to have staff seek estimates for options in regards to the future of the Dixie Gebhardt House. Knoxville City Manager Heather Ussery spoke with KNIA/KRLS News about the process.

“Moving forward, staff will be working on obtaining estimates for a potential relocation of the house, demolition of the house, and what the proposed park for programming would look like. We are also taking time, which is usually about 60 days when we allow the public or a private entity to provide an expression of interest. The expression of interest would allow them to provide documentation on what their plan would be for the house and to show that they can financially take on the project. Between July and October, we will provide more information to the public on what the expressions of interest will look like.”
