The Norwalk baseball and softball teams will conclude their respective regular seasons tonight with non-conference matchups against opponents from the Raccoon River Conference.

The Warrior baseball team takes an 18-17 overall record into their home game vs. ADM (18-8) at 7:30 p.m. Norwalk has won three consecutive games over the Tigers and 10 of the last 13 dating back to 2009.

Tonight’s Warrior softball game will be a clash of top-5 teams in Class 4A as No. 4 Norwalk visits No. 5 Carlisle at 7:30 p.m. The Warriors stand 27-7 overall while Carlisle is 25-10. The host Wildcats have won the last eight meetings between the teams since 2014.

Looking ahead to postseason play, the Norwalk baseball team will play an opening round Class 4A Substate game at Des Moines Roosevelt Friday at 5:00 p.m.

The Norwalk softball team will have a first round bye in Class 4A, Region 6 on Thursday, then host either Cedar Rapids Xavier or Newton in a regional semifinal Saturday at 7:00 p.m.
