The Pella City Council has several resolutions on the agenda at their regular meeting this evening. The session will start with recognition of the newest city employees with Pella Community Ambulance, which officially became a city-operated service on Friday.
Resolutions to approve a public restroom access agreement with the Pella Area Community and Economic Alliance, a final plat for Lely Innovation Park, a memorandum of agreement with Condrey and Associates to review the city’s compensation and classification system, to schedule a public hearing for West Washington Street and Fifield Road intersection improvements and the apron expansion at the Pella Municipal airport are on the agenda. A public hearing will be held for an ordinance amending the boundaries of the M1 District to include certain property at 2017 Old Highway 163.
A committee formed to develop a 175th anniversary celebration for the community will make a funding request to the council as well for proposed festivities during the first full weekend in August.
During policy and planning following regular business, the council will discuss residential parking requirements in the Central Business District, private signage in the public right-of-way, city code modifications as it relates to residential solar systems, and the city’s dental plan.
