The Norwalk High School baseball team will begin their postseason journey today.

The Warriors will head to Des Moines Roosevelt for their Class 4A, Substate 8 first round game against the Roughriders. Norwalk comes into tonight’s matchup 18-17 overall while Des Moines Roosevelt brings a 26-13 overall record with them.

These two teams are familiar with each other as they split a doubleheader back on May 26. Norwalk won the first game 4-2 and lost the nightcap 1-0 in 11 innings.

Tonight’s matchup will begin at 5 p.m. at Des Moines Roosevelt High School and can be heard live on kniakrls.com via the KNIA3 stream or the free KNIA KRLS mobile app beginning with the pregame show at 4:45 p.m.

The winner of tonight’s matchup will play again Monday at 7:00 p.m., taking on the winner of West Des Moines Valley and Council Bluffs Abraham Lincoln.
