The Marion County Roads department wants to let the public know that there could be issues with some roads due to the extreme heat. Marion County Engineer Tyler Christian spoke with KNIA/KRLS News about the issues.

“Typically, this time of year with the extreme heat, we can see the roads buckle. Moisture is a factor in where and how many places we see buckling. This year to date we’ve had fewer buckling issues than in years past, but with the extreme heat, we have seen there are at least half a dozen locations that we know of that have buckling. None of these locations is severe or unsafe. If you do see pavement buckling please call our office so that we can go take a look at it.”
