The Knoxville School District is switching to a new system this year to help families and students with their school experience. Knoxville School District Technology Director Barry Smith spoke with KNIA/KRLS News about the Infinite Campus system.
“It’s a student information system that is going to replace the system we have been using for quite some time. We were one of the biggest schools in the state still using the previous system and now we are moving to the new system. This system will provide more things than we had before. Parents will now have an app where they can go in and monitor their child’s grades, attendance and activities. This system will provide better teaching tools which will allow them to do more with our standards-based grading and will just be a more comprehensive system than what we have ever had before.”
Families will be receiving an email about the new system that will give them instructions on how to create their accounts.
