Marion County Public Health will hold a Parents as Teachers Reading event on Thursday, July 14 at 10:30 am at the Melcher-Dallas Public Library, 111 S Main St, Melcher-Dallas. Darcy Woodland with Marion County Public Health Spoke with KNIA/KRLS News about the event.

“Our Parents as Teachers Reading events we like to pair with different libraries around the county, so this week we will be in Melcher-Dallas. Each event has several different readers and we have crafts or an art project for the kids to do and we give them a free book as well. These are fun events for the kids to get out, have stories read to them and have fun.”

There will be one more Parent as Teachers reading event on August 16 at 10:30 am at the Knoxville Public Library.
