The Pella Community School District celebrated the groundbreaking of the new Early Childhood Center Thursday. Superintendent Greg Ebeling thanked the Pella School Board, DCI Group, Neumann Monson, and those who led passage of the November 2021 bond issue for the first completely new facility in the district since the Career Academy was constructed in 2014-15. The Early Childhood Center will have ground work ongoing for the remainder of this summer, with plans to approve a contract for the facility itself by the time school starts. Current estimates for construction cost is just shy of $19 million, with the goal for completion by the end of calendar year 2023. Hear more about the project on Monday’s Let’s Talk Pella.
