A busy week remains now that the Iowa High School Baseball and Softball state tournaments overlap, and the airwaves of KNIA/KRLS Radio will be full of action starting Monday.

The Pella baseball team opens the Class 3A tournament in the first quarterfinals game against #1 Assumption at the University of Iowa. Coverage begins at 11 a.m. Monday on 92.1 KRLS.

The large school softball teams are all in action Monday — Norwalk and Carlisle open in the 4A tournament at 3:15 p.m. on 94.3 KNIA, while Indianola has a rematch with conference foe Dallas Center-Grimes at 4:45 p.m. on 94.3 KNIA.

Twin Cedars is back at state for the first time in several decades and take on Lisbon on Tuesday night in Fort Dodge. Coverage starts at 7 p.m. on 92.1 KRLS.

Indianola is doubling up in the summer tournaments, with the baseball team taking on Iowa City High in the final first round game in Iowa City. Coverage starts at 7 p.m. on 94.3 KNIA.
