It has been a great season for the Southeast Warren Softball Squad in 2022. The Warhawks are 23-4 and have qualified for the class 1A State Tournament where they will take on four seeded Remsen St. Mary’s on Tuesday. It all starts with junior pitcher Alivia Ruble. She is ranked 15th in class 1A in earned run average at 1.28. She has 119 strikeouts coming into Tuesday’s contest and Coach Cody Reynolds says if she is on the other aspects of the Warhawks game fall right into place.
Reynolds: Alivia is probably the strongest one of them all. If she can hold the opponent to 1 or 2 runs and not give up any errors then the rest of our game will come right along. We’re going to see if that happens and what we can do at Fort Dodge.”
Southeast Warren finished 2nd to fellow State Qualifier Martensdale-St, Mary’s in the Pride of Iowa Conference this season. The Warhawks will take on Remsen St. Mary’s Tuesday at 5:30 at Iowa Central Field.
