A pair of Indianola softball players were selected to the class 4A Southeast All-District Team as voted on by the Iowa Girls Coaches Association, Mara Bishop and Brynn Ortlund.

Bishop led the Indians in several offensive categories, including hitting .458 with 10 home runs, and was second on the team with 40 runs driven in. Bishop was also selected to the 2022 High School All-Star Games at Waukee High School taking place today at 4pm.

Ortlund hit .420 on the season with an on-base percentage of .503, and led class 4A with 7 triples while scoring 40 runs.

Indianola went 28-13 on the season, ending with a 5th place finish in 4A after going 1-1 at the state tournament in Fort Dodge.
