The Webb Shadle Public Library in Pleasantville will be holding a Pet Show Saturday, July 30, on the front lawn at the library from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m.

JoEllen Glick has been the librarian in Pleasantville for six years and she tells KNIA-KRLS that the pet show has been going on every year she has been at the facility.

Deanne Mundt of Menagerie Stables LLC Equine will be bringing two miniature horses and hold a special presentation prior to the pet show.

Glick told KNIA-KRLS News, “Children can bring their own pet for the show. They will walk down a walkway and be judged, and be eligible to win prizes as well.”

July 30 will also be the final day of the summer reading program at the library.

Those in attendance can also sign-up for a drawing to win a tablet which has been donated by People’s Bank.

The library is slated for their next special event called Burgers and Beets on September 17.
