The Farm Service Agency in Iowa is accepting nominations for county committee members.
Matt Russell, State Executive Director of the FSA tells KNIA/KRLS News that it’s a committee that is composed by farmers electing farmers to represent their interests and work with FSA staff.
Angie Vos tells KNIA/KRLS about the process, “Each county is divided up into around three local administrative areas. Whoever is up for election is every third year and they can fill out a nomination form. We accept those forms up until August 1st.”
Russell says the FSA is looking for leaders, and that if you are wanting to apply, stop by your local FSA office for more information.
