The Knoxville Fire Department is gearing up for the Knoxville Nationals. During the Nationals the department spreads out throughout the community to speed up reaction time.

Knoxville Fire Chief Cal Wyman tells KNIA/KRLS News the Department has eight full-time employees, eight part-time staff members and 11 regular part-time people on the department.

Wyman told KNIA-KRLS News that his staff is willing and able to help assist people regardless of their needs.

It’s a busy time, but one Wyman looks forward to serving those who are in town for the races.
