Counting down the top 10 moments of the Simpson College athletics year of 2021-22, continuing with number 7.

The American Rivers Conference is the premier D-III wrestling conference in the nation, featuring 15-time national champion and 6-time national runner-up Wartburg since 1996, and stalwarts Loras, Central, and Coe. The Storm wrestling program is one that is looking to reclaim the days of legendary coach Bob Darrah in the early 90’s, and took a big step towards that this past year with a pair of wins in the conference. The Storm took down Buena Vista 24-21, then followed that up with a 42-3 demolition of Nebraska Wesleyan to match their best conference win total since the 2017-18 season. The Storm graduated just four seniors from the roster.
