After years of frustration, the Melcher-Dallas Boys Track and Field Squad broke through and qualified runners for the State Track and Field Meet on May 13th in the State Qualifier at Wayne, which is our #1 Melcher-Dallas sports moment of the 2021/2022 school year. Logan Godfrey in the high jump, Owen Suntken in the 110 high hurdles, and the shuttle hurdle relay team of Godfrey, Lucas Harrington, Anthony Schneider and Suntken all qualified for the State Meet. Godfrey would go on to play 12th in the high jump, Suntken would place 23rd in the hurdles with a time of :19.23, and the shuttle hurdle would also place 23rd in a time of 1:07.43.
