Continuing our top 10 countdown of the best sports stories at PCM during the 2021-2022 school year, we flashback to May 16th when Grant Van Veen qualified for the boys’ golf state tournament in Ames.

On May 16th, Van Veen traveled to Albia as the lone Mustang to qualify for district play. He shot a 76 and brought home a fifth-place finish, to qualify for the state tournament. At the State Golf Meet held at the Ames Convention and Visitors Bureau on May 23rd and 24th, Van Veen finished in 58th place with a two-day score of 184.
