The Indianola Chamber has been notified by several businesses who have had their emails hacked. If you receive an email from someone you know but the subject line indicates: “Name of Person – Name of Business shared you PDF to review ll Due Date” do not click on the attachment and delete it immediately.

In addition, do not reply to the email or send a separate email to that person as the Hackers will receive your email and respond to you indicating it is a trustworthy source. If you know the person, please call them to let them know they have been hacked. They should log out of their email and change their passwords immediately. Experts advise passwords are at least 12-16 characters long and include upper/lower case letters and special characters.
