Mason Scheve provides the #3 moment on the top 10 countdown of best sports stories at Pleasantville during the past school year, as he joined an elite group for the Pleasantville boys’ basketball program.

In a January 21st road game at Des Moines Christian, Scheve scored 16 points and became just the ninth Trojan boys’ basketball player ever to eclipse the 1,000-career points mark. The senior said that he always dreamed of scoring 1,000 career points, and that seeing that goal achieved was a great feeling.

“I was pretty exciting to hit that mark. That’s always been one of my goals to be up on that board and it has been very exciting that I hit that.”

Scheve finished his high school career as Pleasantville’s fourth all-time leading scorer with 1,254 career points.
