The #2 spot on our countdown of the top 10 sports moments at PCM this past school year sends us back to the Blue Oval at Drake Stadium in Des Moines for the State Track Meet May 19th-21st.
After missing his entire junior year of track, Aiden Anderson made a big return in the 200-meter dash for the PCM boys track team. PCM hosted the State Qualifying Meet on May 12th, and on his home track, Anderson had his best 200-meter dash run of the season. The senior ran the event in :22.35, which netted him a second-place finish and an automatic qualification for the State Meet. At the Blue Oval, Anderson was in Heat 2 of the preliminary race on May 19th and finished in 7th with a run of :22.89 and qualified for finals on May 21st. Anderson completed his return to the track with podium finish in the 200-meter dash, coming in 8th place with a time of :22.95.
