A connection project between Pella Middle School and Jefferson Intermediate is still a ways off as other work continues related to the November 2021 bond issue in the Pella Community School District.

Pella Middle School Principal Josh Manning says the district anticipates the walkway and classroom expansion project will take the longest, and will start only before new bleachers and restroom facilities at the football stadium in the spring of 2024.

According to a construction update given to the Pella School Board this summer, construction will begin on the addition between Jefferson and Pella Middle School in the summer of 2023, with final completion expected before winter break in 2024.
