Warren County Conservation is hosting a nature and forest therapy guided walk in two weeks, a three-hour walk through Hickory Hills Park. Co-Director Karen Johlas-Szalkowski tells KNIA News a guide with the Association of Nature And Forest Therapy will lead a nature exploration walk, and is a chance to unplug, slow down, and experience mindfulness in nature. The walk is based on Shinrin-Yoku or forest therapy, and can provide health benefits such as lowered blood pressure, decreased anxiety, increased focus, relaxation, and a connection with nature. The walk will take place on August 27th from 8-11am. Find registration information with this story on KNIAKRLS.com.
