Simpson College head women’s wrestling coach Jeff McGinness and the Iowa Girls USA Cadet and Junior National Team won the Under-16 Women’s Freestyle National Championships over the summer, a series of national tournaments as part of high school competition.
In addition to the team title, Iowa saw eight individuals earn All-American status at the national tournament, the most in state history. Simpson will begin competition of their first ever women’s wrestling program this winter.
