The “Haves and Have Knots” were awarded top honors in the Wood Projects competition judged prior to the start of the 2022 Iowa State Fair, with three Pella residents earning recognition.

Bob Kroese of Pella won Best of Show and in five other individual categories, including:
– Decoys – Ducks & Geese Floating, Decoys – Shore Birds, Wild Fowl – Song Birds, Wild Fowl – Upland Game Birds, and Wild Fowl – Miniature Birds

Larry L Bird won best Furniture Item and honorable mention in the Table competition. Dale Coleman of Pella won best model.
