The Knoxville Football Coaching staff is excited about the defense, especially the linebacking corps. Returning from last year is Dakota Ramsey, Kale Kincaid and Tyce Huyck, three of the top four tacklers last year. Coach Matt Dunkin tells KNIA/KRLS Sports the linebackers are all a year older and stronger.

Dunkin: “Kail Kincaid is a linebacker. He’s a big kid that comes down the line and looks for contact. Dakota Ramsey is the returning leading tackler, a good leader. Tyce Huyck comes back so we’re really excited about our linebackers.”

Dunkin also is looking at move-in Andon Trout, a defensive back. The Panthers open their season next Friday at Newton. Fans can see a preview of Knoxville along with all of the other activities at Meet The Panthers Night Friday starting at the high school at 5:00. The football squad will hold an inter squad scrimmage at Ken Locke Stadium at 6:45.
