Numbers are low for the Melcher-Dallas Football Squad. Only 13 players are out for the Saints this fall and Coach Pat Ferguson…while frustrated with the turnout…is pleased with how his small but mighty team is working through the first two weeks of practice…

Ferguson says with the low numbers some players may not leave the field, so injuries must be kept at a minimum and some of the guys are going to have to be in great condition to play without coming out. Melcher-Dallas will open the season next Friday at Mormon Trail. The Saints finished 3-6 last year.
