Competitors claimed their spot as the strongest Fairgoers when they competed in the Monster Arm Wrestling contest, Sunday, at the 2022 Iowa State Fair.

There were several area winners in the contest. Right Hand Light 151-175 pound division saw Jake Reed, Bussey in 2nd place. Right Hand Middle 176-200 pounds showed Brian Brooks,  Knoxville in 2nd place. Right Hand Super Heavy 236 and up had Ryan Brown, Knoxville placing second.

In switching hands, for the left hand, Brooks was second in the middle weight class and he was first in the heavyweight class.

In the ladies middleweight division Angela Allen of Melcher was second. The Fair began over 160 years ago and is now considered one of the best events in the nation.
