Work on the downtown Indianola Square Reconstruction Project continued over the past week, with pavers placed on Ashland between 1st and Howard and storm sewer work on Ashland between Buxton and B Street. The process of removal and replacement of sidewalks also began on Ashland between 1st and Howard; notices have been provided to the businesses that will be impacted over the next several weeks.

Starting the week of August 22nd, sidewalk work will continue on Ashland, paver repair will take place across the square, and the installation of rock chambers/subdrains west of Buxton will begin. Later this month, Ashland between Howard and B Street, including intersection at B
Street and Ashland will be paved, and sections of Ashland will open to traffic as they are completed.
