The Knoxville Fall Sports Season gets underway on Monday with two teams at two different venues in Knoxville. The volleyball squad will open up by hosting a quad with Carlisle, Oskaloosa, and Ottumwa starting at 5:00. Coach Mollie Keitges tells KNIA/KRLS Sports that while the South Central Conference will be challenging this season, they always look to the non-conference part of the schedule for signature wins.

Keitges: “That is a tough tournament with Osky, Ottumwa and Carlisle, the Des Moines Christian Tournament is really tough with a class 2A State team, and we want to be challenged, but we also want to win those tournaments so we’re prepared for October.”

At the same time, as the volleyball squad is opening its season, the cross country squads are hosting an early bird invitational at Pine Knolls. The Panthers will welcome Fairfield, Eddyville-Blakesburg-Fremont, Pekin, PCM and Pleasantville with the first races starting at 5:00. Stay tuned for updates on all Knoxville Sports on your home for the Panthers KNIA/KRLS.
