The opening of the fall sports season was a busy one for Knoxville as the Panthers held an Early Bird Invitational at Pine Knolls on Monday. The boys placed 2nd as a team, six points behind winner Fairfield. Knoxville’s Issac Rankin won the overall individual race in a time of 18:19. Coach Michael Splavec told KNIA/KRLS Sports Rankin ran a consistent race and stuck to his plan. PCM was 3rd and Pleasantville was 4th overall. The Knoxville girls placed 4th, PCM was 3rd and Pleasantville finished 5th. Natalie Collins paced Knoxville in 8th with a time of 24:49.
