The Pella School Board scheduled a public hearing for phase two of the Early Childhood Center project at their meeting Monday. A resolution approved on the agenda will have the board convene at the September 12th meeting to approve bids and a contract to construct the facility aiming to expand preschool options in the district. The motion came after an extensive update about ongoing construction in the Pella School District. The board also approved a postage meter lease contract renewal, a pair of change orders for the groundwork at the Early Childhood Center, and scheduled work sessions for the upcoming academic year. A discussion was also held about board goal setting and a review of the 900 series of policies in the district handbook.
