A successful start to the season for the Twin Cedars Volleyball Squad as the Sabers picked up a 3-0 win over Martensdale-St. Mary’s on Monday night 25/12, 25/17, and 25/13. Sophie Lyle picked up nine kills while Jillian French had eight kills. Rylee Dunkin dealt out 21 assists while Kenzyn Roberts picked up 11 digs. Coach Randie Gist tells KNIA/KRLS Sports Martensdale-St. Mary’s gave her team a real test and hopes that game and the next game against East Union will follow the same script as last year.

Gist: “Last year they got us in the right mindset, we knew that we could get this done, so I’m looking forward to seeing what we can do and hopefully have good games and good volleys.”

The Sabers travel to East Union tonight, they defeated the Eagles last season 3-1.
