The Pella Christian volleyball team has been hard at work this offseason with the goal of improving on their 19-20 record from a season ago on their minds.
Playing in the Little Hawkeye Conference, the Eagles know that they face tough competition in almost every match. Pella Christian head coach Tammi Wight notes two areas of the game that the team has worked on improving this offseason to elevate their game to the level of that competition.
“I think the things that we needed to improve on after last year was mostly just our knowledge of the game and also our ball control. And we’ve done a lot of work this summer on that and I’ve seen a lot of improvement in that already. I feel like we are starting at a little bit higher level ball control wise than we did last year. And so, when you see those improvements, there’s always hope that we can compete with the teams that are on the other side.”
Pella Christian will find out how that work has paid off this Saturday at the Skip Anderson Bondurant-Farrar Tournament.
